Day 3- Over to Join the Group in Pahia

After another wonderful homemade breakfast, like Day 2, we packed up and headed out for Pahia on the East Coast to join back with the group. It was a bit overcast, but we did have some sunshine as we approached Pahia.

Stop in a Bay along the Way

We stopped at a bay along the way, perhaps Mahinepua Bay, where there were several Morgans parked. Later we found that Peter, a local Morgan owner, had taken a few people out on a friends boat in this area.

It was mid afternoon when we approached Pahia, after about 120 miles, and never really had an opportunity to look around. It is considered a touristy town, but it didn't seem very busy, by our standards of "busy tourist town".
Approaching Pahia
Our hotel was a bit out of town, and our room way, way at the back, so any venturing out was difficult.  After catching up with Michael and Patsy, who still is not feeling very well, we walked 300 meters (yeh, that's what they say) to a fish restaurant, passing this cute church on the way.

I enjoyed very giant prawns, with a spicy sauce and 'salad' (lettuce) and Philip had Blue Fin Tuna

We walked home from the restaurant and looked out over the water at this magnificent scene, It is difficult to capture how pretty it was.

Moonlight Over Pahia
Everyone raved about the comfortable beds at this hotel, feather pads, but it was too soft for my hip and I woke up frequently in pain. Hope my hip gets better.

  1. OMG -- I'd be afraid those shrimp were going to eat ME. That looked like a pretty drive.
