DAY 14- RAINING IN NELSON, SOUTH ISLAND

Here I go again, jumping around the days. What I write pretty much is determined by how much time I have to complete the day. So today, Sunday Day 14, was pretty short of excitement here in Nelson.
It was a day we could sleep in, so no alarm was set. I still woke up at 7:30 AM, and looked outside to see this…

It didn't look like we were going to be doing too much sight seeing today.
We had purchased muffins at McDonald's yesterday afternoon to have for breakfast, along with OJ that we purchased at the store across the street. So no going out for breakfast.
I paid the bills for February and  completed two loads of laundry by 2 PM.
We had seen others heading out via taxicab to unknown places, and upon their return learned that they had attended the    Wearable Arts and Classic Car Museum- Nelson  and found it very enjoyable.
As I was completing the laundry, I saw Ian and Lesley peeking from their room window, so inquired if they would like to ride in the cab with us to the Museum. An 11 passenger taxi picked us up adding  Joan and Keith to our entourage as we waited for the taxi.

The Wearable Art Museum was absolutely fantastic. No photos were allowed, so check out the website above for some idea as to what it was like. The Classic Car Museum was very limited, but also done artistically. Our two hours at the museums was adequate and very enjoyable.

By the time we arrived back at the hotel at 5:15 PM, it finally had stopped raining, so we made plans to walk to dinner at The Hangar about three blocks away.
It was a fun place to have dinner, with high backed chairs,  warm towels to wash our hands, and much decor like an airplane and lounge.

By the time we headed back to the hotel, the sky was simply beautiful (awaiting Ian's photo), and it looked like tomorrow might be a better weather day (although some showers are predicted).
Nighty night……..
