The sky was blue with only a few clouds on the horizon when
we awoke sans alarm clock. A perfect day for a harbor cruise, but we hadn’t
seen any adverts around for this tour. Once we are out and about we will look
for one.

Morning View From Our Room |
A call to Michael and arrangements were made to meet for
breakfast.
Unfortunately Patsy developed nausea upon getting dressed
and they had to decline breakfast with us. Michael fetched 7-Up and crackers
which soon cured the nausea and Patsy was requesting a hot dog. Her left knee
is swollen and bruised, and unexpectedly her right thigh has developed some
bruising. But none of this keeps Patsy down, despite this nurse telling her to
take it easy. She isn’t going to miss a thing.
Richard and Susan passed us in the lobby as they were
preparing for “ a Harbour Cruise” at 10:30.
Their brochure was handed to us, and we now had found the desired cruise
at 1:30 PM.
By now it was 11 AM, so Philip and I headed to the Downtown
Center Espresso shop for Brunch where I indulged in French Toast with bananas
and bacon, and Philip enjoyed Eggs Benedict.

The location was a popular one, as Fiona and friends
wandered by with new GPS’s and Fiona’s new backpack.

After lunch we headed back to prepare for the cruise, having
told other MONZA people about it.
Unfortunately they were sold out of tickets when Fiona went to get her
ticket. Colin and Callie and Dennis and Nancy did manage to get tickets.

The 1.5 hour cruise was very warm, and beautiful. It was
impossible to hear the narration over the engines, so we did miss a lot.

After a short rest, we attended the first Monza get together
in the hotel bar, where local Morganeers joined us. This is really the start of
MONZA.

The day ended with a pretty decent fast food Mexican
Restaurant across the street with Michael, Patsy, Dennis and Nancy.
Good to hear Patsy is up and about. She just needs to find the balance between sticking with it and not overdoing.
ReplyDeleteRaw bacon, I see. What are chances of getting it cremated?
That's a cute backpack Fiona got. What was on those cute backpacks we were looking at in Yosemite? You should have gotten one of those! ;-)
I'm glad you went a few days early to get acclimated. xxxooo
Patsy doesn't want to miss anything….. so one can't reason with her. Of course I have the same problem. Pain in both hips and my back. Hope sleep resolves it tonight. A bit behind on blogging but an early day tomorrow
