Upon looking out of our window, the day looked rather blah.
Others were driving out to Mission Bay, but we decided that we really didn’t
want to get into the Morgan and travel. So today is a rather blah, restful day.
We had breakfast again across the street with Michael where
Philip enjoyed the Banana French Toast that I had the day before. We had taken the computer to use public wi-fi, but the connection was lousy for all of us.
Prior to coming to NZ, Philip had
purchased a personal hot spot which was working well for us, so another hour
was spent at the 2 Degrees Store obtaining a personal hot spot for Michael. We
also learned how to check our remaining time on all the numerous SIM cards we
had purchased for voice and for data.
Dennis also arrived at the store while we were there to learn how to set up voice mail.
Upon completion of these tasks, Michael returned to Patsy to get her some food, and
we went walking. A RO-RO ship (roll
on/roll off) had arrived in port, so we
wanted to see if Lyle’s Morgan had made it from Australia, and Philip wanted to
watch it load.
The ship yard was quite large so we did a lot of walking,
followed by a jaunt through town and back to Downtown Center where we had
sashimi for lunch at the take out place.

It was now time to do laundry, so Elaine made use of the
hotel washer/dryer while Philip changed the wind deflectors to the correct
sides, as when he replaced the windscreen/windshield he discovered they had
been re-attached incorrectly.
Cocktails with Dennis and Nancy was followed with us going
to McDonald’s for dinner while everyone else when down to the ViaDuct area for a
fancy dinner. Unfortunately my hips both started hurting by the time we returned.

Did you NOT get hip shots? I've decided I won't skip them any more.
ReplyDeleteI had no hip pain when we left. And it is the right hip, which has never hurt before. Came on this day of walking.
