On this day, most of the group went on an overnight trip to Doubtful Sound, but we really couldn't justify the cost to ourselves, AND we really wanted an opportunity to go to Bluff, the "designated" lowest point of the South Island and to visit Hayes Hardware where Bert Munro's Famous Indian Motorcycle is displayed.
It was an overcast day when we started out from Te Anau for Invercargill. We hoped that those going on the Doubtful Sound Cruise would have better weather than we were experiencing (they did).

Arriving in Invercargill, we found Hayes Hardware where we had heard Bert Munro's Famous Fastest Indian Motorcycle was displayed. Boy, were we surprised to find a "museum" of old motorcycles, bikes, tools, cars and other items dispersed amongst the large hardware display. I have many photos, but here are only a few.
